I meant the car itself.
The install method on the tranny is to drop the rear most bolts on the sub frame to do what you suggest. The back of the motor drops down to facilitate removal and install. Should start gathering tools. Wobble extensions, 30 mm impact socket are about it as far as I can figure. With the header needing to come off, I have considered a plm header to give me an extra bung to facilitate a future tune (and it has demonstrated hp gain).
Thoughts on changing master and slave cylinders for clutch? They currently have 33.5k on them. Not sure how I would know if they are going or not. Should look at tranny and see if it has engagement fork too. The current can be swapped over though.

THe mast and slave are probably ok. You can look into getting a SS clutch line.
You should have the flywheel resufaced. Depending on the shop, it's probably a 1 day thing.

Brigdh let me know about a spot that would facilitate a tranny swap. I'm working on a deal for a second flywheel to have everything ready to go.
Stopping by the place at lunch since they are 2 min from work. http://www.clubworkshop.com
EDIT: I just got back from the shop. Dire times for such a neat idea. If you think this is something you might find valuable, consider stopping by and taking a tour. Lots of equipment. I would prefer it be cleaner, but it is as clean as could be expected.
Lots of cool stuff. Powder coat "booth", ovens, wood cnc, full wood working area, full metal working area, welding, vinyl area, and a laser etcher/cutter. They also have a 3D printer that the employees use to print your piece. Just need the input file. Would not be a bad place to be during a zombie apocolypse.

The swap is great, no more buzz, no more strange noises, no more grind. Hooked up the spedometer corrector yesterday and now I am good to go except tires.
Want to switch to 17" wheels for summer and get another set of stockers for some stickier track/autox rubber. Not sure <> will understand 3 sets of wheels though...

If my car was prettier, I'd join in a photo shoot. Of course, in its current state, mine can be a red, out-of-focus dot in the distance...

Glad to hear about your pro-gress (British accent) Mr. Sire...perhaps I'll be invited over to see it one of these days?
Edit: Canadian accent?

I couldn't do the drive I had planned on because my rear driver side tire was to the cords. New ones needed to be ordered and won't be here until next Friday. Getting the Hankook V12 evo k110.
Instead of doing anything with the car, I redid the epoxy coating on my garage floor. Not a fun job, not hard, just tedious.
