When you combine "negative equity" and "lease" in the same sentence, that's a sure fire recipe for failure. At the end of that 3 year lease, you'll be left with no car and no equity to put toward a new car. And how good of an idea is it to off-road a leased vehicle anyway? It's bad enough when you're off-roading a vehicle you're still making payments on.

If it were me, I'd stick with the car and get a beater truck/jeep to satisfy your off-roading craving. Believe me, it's way more fun to off-road a beater than a new vehicle you're worried about damaging.

See, now there are some solid, logic-based arguments. :)

So I'll take my negative equity in March or April, offset it with a down payment (my bonus) and buy an MS3 GT in Black Mica. Then use NEXT year's bonus to get the off-roading, snow-busting Wrangler I want. :)

Please don't even get the jeep next year!!!!! They are over advertised and over hyped junk!!!!!!! If you need four wheel drive just buy a truck!!! Sorry if I've hurt anyones feelings, but I have been working on automitive junk for over twenty years and one of my least favorite vehicles would be a wrangler! Noisy, flimsy, underwpowered, unrefined, did I mention underpowered!!!!!! And cold as hell in the winter! Stealth, I respect you, please respect yourself and just say no to the high pressure sales of the faricy boys. I f you need a four by four, I have a friend with a delaership that will take you to auction and charge a minimal fee over auction price for a good vehicle. :2cents3fo:

Dude, I've been married (between the two wives) for 21 years. I lost my genitals a LOOOOONG time ago.

Rocket, I may take you up on the auction offer one of these days. But not until I'm driving that MS3. :)
