The AP isn't in the car, as I don't leave it connected for any reason. Since the transmission woes have been ongoing since last year, I don't think having a reflash on the ECU for a little over a week would be a reason to void anything, other than engine related problems. The AP has nothing to do with the transmission.
I would hide your access port if you want to keep your warranty.[/b]

I agree that one has nothing to do with the other. However, if you were a mazda dealer and you had an rx8 come in for a non working hood latch, and you saw they were running a turbo under the hood. Would you note that on the system in case they come back in next time with a blown engine?
All i am saying is make sure you don't give them any reason to void any of your warranty.

I'm not trying to be argumentative, so I'm sorry if it came off that way. I just don't see any legitimate reason to reflash the car. It's documented from a few months back that I brought it in for tranny issues. It's been brought it for transmission problems prior to me owning the car (I have that documentation as well). And if the Mazda tranny can't take 180hp, then there's something much bigger than just my car that's an issue.
