Yep, just like the title says, they pit the new Nissan GT-R against the Corvette Z06, the Audi R8 and the Porsche 997 GT3... all I can say, is wow, I'm pretty impressed. I can't believe it looks like the GT-R might actually be up to the hype everyone has been giving it. Check this out:

I always said, if I could own a Z06, I would rock one... I think things have changed, as I would rather have the new GT-R :D

Sweet article. The GT-R would be on my dream car list if it weren't automatic :( Why why are car manufactures making awesome cars automatic.... i mean you don't even get the option to get a manual with the GT-R.

Just another note about the GT-R.... they strapped one to a dyno not too long ago, it put down a little over 400whp, check it out:

The R8 really doesn't seem as nice as I thought it was and the GT-Rs untuneable features really turn me off but they are both great cars overall. The ZO6 is a definite wish list.

When i lived in california and was planing on buying a WRX Harman Motive was like a dream come true! If i had gotten a WRX out there and then moved here i would have cried.... Harman Motive is sweeeeeeet!

The GT-R is an amazing car! I just wish so badly that they made one with a 6speed.

I just can't get passed that the GT-R, with a driver will weigh over 4000 pounds. UGH! The only way it will be sub 4000 pounds is if Andrew is driving! ;)

If I was going to buy a car in that price point, I think I'd still get the C6Z even though it costs about $10,000 more.

And hell, used C5 Z06s are getting pretty affordable now.

The GT-Rs DCT has a manual mode to be used with paddles. Sure it's not a stick, sure there's not clutch pedal, but damn does it shift fast. Faster than you can shift a manual actually. I still love the lines of the R8 though....

I've shared this article with some of my SCCA friends. They aren't fazed by it. For autox, the GT-R is way too heavy and that's only after it doesn't get put on the exclusion list.
