I still say that you need to check your tire pressures as well.

What type of tires are you looking at replacing these with anyway?

Here is a thought.

After you put the new springs on and lowered it 1 inch, did you get it aligned?

Lowering it will give you more negative camber. That means less contact patch on the road.

At that rate they'll be bald in a few thousand more miles.

Easy fix would be to get an MS6 ;-)

Have you taken a look at the Falken Azenis?
It's probably the stickiest non-R comps tires you can get.
I dont recommend them in the snow tho.

The Bridgestone RE-01s are better than the Falkens. Looking at the top finishers in all the street tire classes at the SCCA Nationals last year, almost everyone is on the Bridgestones.

Good luck getting a sponsorship.
