Jimmy, I have good news. I do have the steering wheel control interface available. The msrp is $105.95, and there are four models to choose from, depending on which brand of head unit you get. That kit comes in high closs and flat black, and in double or single DIN size. For club members I will sell the steering wheel interface for $75, unless we get a group buy of five or more. Then I can go down to $65 each.

i just had an idea.....not sure how good it is but u could probably get a good group buy going on over at rx8 club. u'd haveta talk to an admin about setting it but im sure people would go for it especially if they have an option for single din. just dont give them such a great deal ur giving us. :P

I am still waiting for the install kit to be in stock. I called my sales rep at the biggest supplier and I'm waiting for the call back. So when they are in stock and I know how many are available, then we can get a group buy set up. And yes, I can get great deals on head units as well. I would highly recommend Alpine or Pioneer Premier. Alpines have the better transports, so they are more skip resisitant. I've got both and sound quality is very close, but higher end Alpine product is a lot more tuneable when you compare dollar to dollar. But I do have pretty much everything you can name available from one supply house or another. So if there is a particular model you have in mind, or a set of features you want, let me know and I'll get a price.

I get the shipping quote from my supplier when I order, so it's whatever they charge. If you want it shipped to Golden, then it would only be the cost to do so. Or, I can hang on to it and drive up for one of the local Denver meets and deliver it. Unless you want to bring the car down to my shop for the install too.

Cool Cool. Yeah I don't think I'll have time to make many meets.....even the Denver meets for a while unless they are Sunday/Monday Evenings. My brother can do the install for me so that's not a problem.

What are your thoughts on these 2 HU's?

Pioneer AVH-P6000DVD

Alpine IVA-W505

I assume that the screen size for double din is 7"? I want something with minimal buttons and more functions than I care to use for a decent price. Crystal clear screen to. Muhahahahhahah.

They are both good units packed with features. The Alpine retails for $1099 and the Pioneer for $999. I don't get a big break on these units, video apparent;ly doesn't have a lot of margin. But I can get the Alpine for $900 and the Pioneer for $800. That is my price shipped. About $100 cheaper than Car Toys on both units.

Let me know when you get these in stock and if you are gonna set up a group buy with RX8club.com. I will purhase the Dash kit from you right away. The Steering control module when I decide which HU I want and after I get that. If I have the Dash kit it will get me motivated to get the HU ASAP. :)

Yea same here Gold once you get the kit in I am ready to pay in full to you and come to the shop to get it installed and I was also wondering if you can get me a single din in-dash DVD player with filp out screen. I was wanting of course good sound quality, The bose adapter so I can use my stock speakers, Steering Wheel control, Still have my climate control and what not, Sat. Radio Ready, I-Pod Ready, Touch Screen, And last but not least a Navigation system.

I really dont care if its Alpine or Pioneer just as long as its a damn good one :)

THANKS.

That head unit retails for $1299. I'll get the deck for $950 including shipping. I'll call again on the kits. My suppliers are really pissing me off with the not calling. I'll have some sort of answer tomorrow.

I hope. I'm ready to buy the dash kit. Deciding on the HU then comes the savings. I think I'm leaning toward the alpine IVA-W505 now. Looks better than the Pioneer I wanted. I'll have to see them in person though. One day when I have time to go cartoys or something.
