Here is an interesting thought.... maybe someone saw the ad on Craigslist and didn't want to buy it but knew enough about the car to find it and steal it. I know that doesn't help with finding the car, but if you had any inquiries regarding the CL posting, that may be a start.

You know, I did have one guy who emailed me wanting to buy the longblock  I told him thanks but no thanks, since I wanted to sell the whole car...he swore that I wouldn't get more than $10k for it and when I told him that I thought it was worth more he never replied. That's the only guy who emailed about it though...

However, it would be very hard for him to find where I'm at from that ad. I didn't have any contact information at all on there...I did say that I lived in Littleton, but where I'm at is technically not even Littleton, just close to it :P

Easy to eliminate that then.:D

Wow that sucks. I woulda posted earlier but was on the phone and just sit in the chat box usually when mobile. My brother lives on Wads and Jewel so I'll have notified and I will keep an eye out for sure. That really sucks.

Sorry to hear about this bud. We all will defiantly keep an eye out for it. Thanks for providing the photos, it will help with identifying it if we see it. Not many FD's out there so the odds are in your favor for it being spotted if its still in the area.

Yeah, I figure if it's around, it will be seen sooner or later. Unfortunately I think that this was a very smart thief, and the car is probably on its way down to Mexico (or wherever else), or in a secret chop shop being disassembled. Hell, they probably post on some of the forums I've copied this thread to, I'm sure they know people are gunning for them. Man, the reality of this theft sunk in today, it's sickening :(

Yeah but the police apparently don't give a crap...unfortunately for me I live in Denver county so I imagine there are lots of thefts every day. I filed the report three days ago and they still haven't even assigned a detective to the case. Said something about being backlogged, blah blah...

No doubt. I understand they must see a lot of car thefts, so they might care as much about them...but it's still a felony like any other, and it should be looked into. It's ridiculous that they are taking this long to get to me, and that I can't even get ahold of anyone at the department who will help me.

Also, several people have said they might have seen my car, so I've edited my first post to make the distinguishing features more visible. Thanks again for all the help guys...

Fu@*ing savages!!!! Sorry dude, I know how it feels, I too have been the victim of car theft. Now I use fuel cut off switches and well hidden security systems. Still won't stop a flatbed, but it's better than nothing.

I got a lead as to where it might be...someone said they saw one like it parked in an apartment complex in Lowry, near the Wings Over the Rockies museum. Of course it could just be another RX-7, but it sounds to me like a remote enough place to leave a stolen car...
