I actually really don't like Breck at all. But it's been before they opened up that new peak at Breck since I've been there.

Copper is one of my other favorites. The bowls on the east side and the one on the north side are great. Plus in the north side bowl, they have a snow cat that will take you up to the mountain behind Copper and you can ski down that.

How much further is Cooper from Copper? I see the signs as I'm going to Copper trying to get me to go to Cooper instead.

Not sure, but If I remember right, head out on the 24 and it's just before you hit LeadVille.

Haha Tom...you asked the question the same time I was answering it. Leadville is about a 1 1/2 hour drive from there. It's a drive, but a pretty one. The reason you see the signs telling you to go to Cooper instead when you driving to Copper is that there is a highway (91 I think) that takes you from Copper right to Cooper.

Why do I get the feeling that it's because I have a GPS system built into my head with all this knowledge that I'm the leader of the cruises? LOL!!!!!

Yeah, from what I know Ski Cooper is a smaller, more local spot. It's just outside of Leadville, which is about a 2 hour drive from Aurora. I personally don't like to go up there....my ex wife is from Leadville, and her family used to work at Cooper.
