CMZC Toy Drive/Car Wash

Postby MazdaGurl » Mon Dec 08, 2008 9:14

This is a 2nd attempt to get more members to participate in the Toy Drive for Children's Hospital. I know many of you are interested, and would like to contribute, but due to personal circumstances, were unable to attend the Toy Drive hosted by Metrodubs.

So here's what we're going to do for the 2nd chance. I'll host a car wash, weather pending of course, at my house. I have a nice long drive way with a great hose and washing stuff. If you want to detail your car, bring your own stuff. I don't have enough (if any) to go around.

And of course...if you don't bring a toy, you don't get a wash!

When: Sunday, 12/14/08 at 2:00 p.m.
Where: My House of I-25 & Hampden (PM me for the address)
Bring: Toys/detail stuff

After we wash, we'll head over to Children's Hospital to deliver the toys. Following that, we'll head out to Golden to Buffalo Rose for our weekly meet. This place was tested out by the few of us, and it's a great spot for all of us! Play pool, air hocky, foosball, or just kick back with a beer.

Now if you can't make it, you're more than welcome to bring the toy(s) to my house any time. If you're strapped for cash, but wish to donate, PM me for ideas.

Guys - this is the time of year that kids really need us. They're sick, and their families are struggling to keep the bills paid. If we can at least put a smile on a child's face, that will be the best Christmas present we can give.

So who's in??

Punctuality isn't important! I'm guessing we'll leave to go donate around 4:00 or later. We'll wait for you, Jimmy!

I'll try and make it over at some point. Looks like it's going to be a little cold for a wash, though!
