I wasnt going to check my oil catch can for another thousand miles or so, but I had to post this... I have almost 500 miles since the OCC was installed, and I went to empty it today and it dumped out a tablespoon of NASTY lookin crap... I can only imagine what it will be filled with at every oil change...

A must have for the speed motors, IMO

Wow, good to know, thanks Eric. Which one do you have? Recommendations? I had really never heard of such a thing to be honest. How hard of an install is it?

Last week, a buddy of mine was in his parentals new Merc, and I in the Speed. This was out in Castle Rock on a nice, open road; no other cars around. Needless to say, this was the most I've gotten "on it" since I've had the car. At about 95 mph I began to smell something...got me to thinking about our leaky turbos! On a brighter note, the Speed was on par with his straight 6cyl- being a Euro guy, he was pretty impressed with Mazda after that encounter.

Story of my life- I'd say moderate for you would be impossible for me:lol:. When the time is right (when warm weather hits and I can find some cash) I've got a list going for an HID kit from vvme (which I should be able to tackle with my limited knowledge), a SR intake, and the Synapse Bov (that's the one I want, right?). Perhaps I can make a day of it and invite any kind souls to assist in the mayhem....

So is there a benefit to installing an occ on a primarily stock engine? I see those for sale, but I'm totally uneducated on 'em...
