I sold my '57 Willys Wagon over the weekend so after all is said and done I have $1100 to put into the RX-7. My first thought was to put the money into paint. Now I'm thinking of using some of it for body work and the rest on performance. I will be doing my clutch setup, it will be a RB Street strip clutch setup and everything I need to go with it. I will also be doing my exhaust which will be a 2.5" from the header back with a magnaflow mufler.

I think I'm going to wait on paint for now. I want more SPEED.

I hope to do my exhaust in the next three weeks. Then it will be off to the dyno for my hopefully better numbers. I'm hoping for 150+ hp at the wheels.

Well my exhaust is getting done next Friday at Catfish Engineering in Fountain. I will have 2.5" from the header back with a Magnaflow Mirror Finish Stainless Steel Muffler with 2- 3" slant cut Tips. The muffler is going to look great and sound great. Next weekend I will start buying the parts for the clutch.

Also next weekend I may be going to the U-Pull-&-Save in Denver to get some parts if I can't find then down here. Does anyone up there want to go with me?

About $400. The muffler is $220 by itself.

I looks great. With tax and all it was about $450. It is a little loud for my taste, sounds like an airplane. I ordered a second muffler that will be in on the 5th. I hope the quiet it up a bit.

Here are some pics:

+1 on not being too loud. I am going to order the Mazdaspeed exhaust as soon as I get my tax return. It is one of the quietest exhausts for the RX8.

I can't see the pics because I am at work, but congrats!

I don't mind a little sound. I like a car that sounds mean but the sound coming out of the car now is unreal. I now have the loudest car in the club.

I also went to u-pull & save in denver on saturday. I bought an '85 GSL rear so I will have a stronger rear and still have my lsd and rear disks. I can't beat the $37.50 I payed for a complete rearend. I also got a power antenna, piece where heater louvers are, and a few other small things I needed.

I also got an extra glass roof and rear wiper setup. I plan to sell the glass roof.
