RX-7 Chris wrote:I really want to get to the clutch install. All this weather has messed this up. I can get my car in the garage but all the mud and crap under my car make it not so fun for this. I still need to pick up some more royal purpe oil for the trans and I'm set to start this. If all goes well I will start this on Friday.

Get 'er dun! I need some more "interior bling" that I won't be able to see:lol:

I'm going to do the clutch today. The damn old clutch was acting up this morning so it is for sure time to do it.

Well I have an exhaust leak on my new exhaust. I went in last Friday to have them look at it and they fixed a few small leaks in the welds without a problem. The problem is when they did the exhaust the first time they had to reuse the old flange to the header. The weld is splitting between the flange and the pipe. I ordered a new flange that matches the header and they will be welding that on this Friday. What a PITA but at least it will be fixed right and it is covered under there warranty.

My exhaust is getting fixed this afternoon, woo hoo.

Also on my list of things I want to do is the Richard Sohn Metering Pump Adapter setup. http://www.rotaryaviation.com/oil_injector_pump_adaptors.htm

Well my exhaust is all fixed and sounds great. I do not recommend going to this shop, what A-holes. After the exhaust was all fixed, they tried to charge me $80 for an exhaust leak on an exhaust system that I payed them to do. All they had to do was install a flange that I bought ($35) and about 3 inches of pipe. The guy tried to tell me "we replaced the flange and a whole section of the pipe". This is the same guy that I handed the flange to when I dropped the car off.

Idiots! At least they fixed everything.

Everytime I go to the dealer to get my oil changed I am afraid that they will tell me I need to fix something. Bob Penkhus' Service Department has been pretty good so far, so I am going to keep my fingers crossed.

I changed out accelerator pump discharge nozzle from a 28 to a 31 which helped my acceleration quite a bit.

On last Saturday I installed the new Exedy Street/Strip Heavy Duty Clutch Disc andPressure Plate with help from members. We also installed a new tranny front cover at the same time. Thanks again for all the help.

I will be heading over to Juntion in the car on the 3rd of June so I have to get the car ready. I need to pull the distributor because I need to move a tooth. I also have to rotate the tires and look over the brakes in the front.

I got my tires rotated and my timing fixed. I inspected my brakes and the front lines were cracking, scary. I had a set off SS front lines that I've been meaning to install so now they are on. I tried to get speed bleeders but no one at the autoparts stores knows what they are even though they carry them.

They brakes stop on a dime now.

That's good news. Maybe I'll finally get off my lazy butt and install my stainless brake lines. LOL
