CMZC Video

Postby zoomzoom6 » Sun Jun 21, 2009 9:14

I haven't been around lately and have only been to a handful of meets thus far. But with some stuff off my plate I thought I'd do something that might be a cool addition to this club, as many of you are pretty close knit with one another.

So I've been shooting the idea around on making a video of our members and what they drive. May be something cool that I could burn onto a DVD, free of cost of course. The video idea I had was somewhere along the lines of this one...http://www.wagenwerks.net/video/h208.html.

Let me know what you guys think as it will be a reflection of this site. I'm willing to accept any ideas as far as location and other video ideas, bounce 'em off me. OK, GO!

I think a vid would be cool, if we could get enough people out to shoot it. I'd be willing to come out for it. That one was very professionally done.

However, several notes after watching that vid:

1. No footage of CMZC members peeling out on wet roads, hydroplaning, and nearly smacking other cars in traffic.

2. Limit the number of close-ups of guys' butts

3. Women + T-shirts + rain = wincakes

4. Rain on cars is cool as hell for filming

5. Our scenery should be MUCH better.

I agree with everything you just said, especially the scenery aspect. I think a mix of Denver and mountain shots would be a cool mix.

Garden of the Gods would be awesome, and maybe -- just maybe -- we could get everyone to the top of Pike's Peak for a photo!

True, that'd be cool. We could even film close-ups of member's cars up there too. Would be a cool background.

Yeah, there were some seriously too-lowered dubs in that vid. Personally, I'm not a lowering fan.

I chose that video solely because of the filming style. I wanted to mimic some of the shots that those guys did. I agree that some of those cars are a little too lowered if you ask me.

Whaaaat? You guys are crazy! The lower, the better...any car can look good when it's on the ground and has some flush wheel fitment :D I agree that some of these cars look too lowered...but it's not because they're too low, it's just that they look that way because of the wheels. Cars that are dropped on airbags with the rims tucked way into the fender are not cool, IMO. Anyway, that video is sick...I love the variety of shots that it uses, and the matching music. Would love to do something like that. Would you be filming, zoomzoom6?

Personally, I love the idea, and I would support you 100% ZoomZoom6. I would help you and give you any resources you might need (if possible). Also, the filming style is fantastic and love the way they mix the music in with the scene changes and special effects. I smiled the whole time!

Here are my concerns:

1) Getting people out to do it- and getting them to 100% fully commit.
2) I would want it to be clean cut, so no booty, no boobs, etc. This is a family save club and we want it to stay that way.
3) When do we start?!?!

I agree, there wasn't... I just don't want people to get the wrong idea :)
