Oh, and Jason on that 2nd run, when you applied your brakes; did they make an awkward noise?

They did not. Why do you ask? I tapped on and off so that they wouldn't get too hot.

Mine make an odd noise upon initial application. As not to incriminate myself, I won't say at what speed, but it's pretty noticeable.
