Well, that'll teach me to take the guy's word for it that he'll man up. He told his insurance company I backed into him as he was speeding backwards down the alley. Nothing can ever be easy.

Oh HELL no.

First of all, why the hell does he keep backing up the whole way down the alley?? Maybe he's done this to the other people too, so he didn't have to pay.

The irony almost slaps you in the face though...the part about finally getting a garage to protect your car. Good grief.

Yeah, I should know better. He was apologetic right away, even admitted to my wife (when I wasn't around) that he wasn't looking and hit my car, and how sorry he was. I just honestly can't believe my next door neighbor is doing this. It'll definitely make our block party on Sunday a little more interesting.

He's hit his wife's car, and the neighbor, doing the same thing.

On top of that, my insurance company told me they didn't have to repair my car with new parts, they just had to repair it to the condition of an equivalent 5 year old vehicle. Thus all the parts in a new estimate are used ones that they found.

Oh well, thanks for the well-wishes folks. Onward, I shall fight!
