I finally saw your pics. Just a word of advice now...that relay box you have turned upside down behind the IC...RTV the opening in the bottom of it and wrap it in a ziploc bag or something. Trust me, I'm speaking from experience, because I have mine mounted the exact same way and I've had so many problems with water getting in that box.

The project looks good though!

Yeah that box is right under the gap between the hood and bumper, so the rain runs down the hood and right in that box. I'd do it just in case you get caught in the rain. I'm actually going to make some brackets to mount mine on it's side, we'll see how that goes.

Well I'll be up there again at some point. Thanks! The diffuser was about $600 for everything. What I mean is the main part was $450 IIRC, and the middle piece was $80 and both of the side pieces were $80.

It's not just rain you need to worry about, what if you wash your car? Water will get in then as well

Are you on RX7club? If not, get on there and talk to Shine Auto Project (Ken). That's where I got the diffuser, and I think he has FEED side skirts too. Of course all pieces are knock-off, but they actually fit better than the original pieces and they are really flexible and alot cheaper too haha.
