As I found out with my ordeal, insurance companies consider junkyard parts OEM. The saving grace, however, is that many "new" condition junk parts are priced over new OEM parts. Nevermind, of course, that new parts don't come painted, etc.

Good luck with everything. That looks to be a rather scary incident. Just glad that everyone is ok.

As long as the car is new condition afterwords I'll be happy, if they don't do a good job fixing it I don't have to accept it right? Were are some good collision shops in the springs. I need to call some today

Call ABBRA. They're right next to Home Depot on South Academy. I've used them 3 times and they do really good work.

hey so heres a update, i went to the shop got the prelim estimate. the cost right now is about 5200 but its going to go up. they didnt have the correct tire being replaced in the front, they have to replace the rocker panel, and now the best part:

as i walk up to the car i notice the back tires are sagging weird, i look closer and see that both rear tires have steel showing on the insides of them (sh!T), the problem here is the shop has no way to prove to usaa that it wasnt like that before the accident. LUCKILY for me, i had it aligned right before i went home. TM i have to call big o on south nevada (were i got it done) and find out if they saved the alignment specs in the computer when i got it done. If they did, i can goto the shop and show them the printout saying it was fine before. ian from here did it along with some other guy, and it was in spec when i left. long day, and tm will be another one

I got my car back and abra fucked it up almost as bad as when i gave it to them.
I pulled out of the lot and realized when they put the new door on (front right) they didnt put my speaker and tweeter in from my old door (aftermarket), so I called up and the general manager said come in monday and they will fix it. ok cool.

Then I drive around for a little and decide to fill up, gas door doesnt pop, I leave them a message but then decide I shouldnt have to wait for monday to drive my car since they shouldnt have released the car incomplete. I goto mazda and the tech takes a screwdriver, wraps it in a towel and pops the tank. But scratches it, he apologizes and I say fuck it, this is abras fault because if they did the work correctly this wouldnt have happend.

I drive home and its getting dark, i realize the front right window is scuffed. They didnt replace the glass that had a big scratch/scuff from the bus hitting it.

Also they jacked my spare tire, which was in the back seat. And my front right tire rubs whenever i turn left, it didnt before they "fixed it"

I would call your insurance and let them know about it. Don't wait to long. Do it ASAP. Mebe Abra can't fix the Suspension problems but since it's from the accident the insurance comp. should pay a specialty shop to fix it.

But the gas door and the shoty work.... Abra should fix that no questions asked.
