Not really a challenge, but I got behind an 08 Vette yesterday on the way home. He punched it. I punched it. And I watched him disappear. It was funny. :) Also had a CLS550 challenge me, but I ignored him....he could rape my little putt-putt, too.

Took down a G35 coupe on the way to work today. We went from a dig and were even through the middle of 3rd then I started to slowly pull on him and by the middle of 5th I had about 2-3 cars on him. We went again from a slow roll after a double left turn and pretty much the same thing. He turned off at the next light and we both waved.

That reminds me of this race I had back when I lived in Phoenix. This all black "murdered out" G35, nice body kit and rims. I didn't think much until I tried to pass him and I hear his BOV. I was like, "oh shit..."

I dropped into 3rd, my money gear, and floored it. This was back when I running my low boost setting of 9psi, too. I heard his turbo(s) spool and he got a good jump on me, his rear fender pulling to my front fender, but then he kinda ran outta of steam and by the time 4th was over I was just about to his front fender. I was impressed.

We actually pulled over into a gas station after and we talked for a few. He was shocked I could keep up with him. He had a Powerlab single turbo kit, he said he just had it installed and was running only 8psi or something and doing 370ish to the rear wheels. Those Powerlab kits are beasts- some can make over 1,000-rwhp!

Anyways, thought it was a cool story, haha

UGHHH!!! You people have no idea in what pain I'm in. I don't have my car and I have the biggest itch (Not that kinda itch, Guido, Troy or whoever else cracks jokes) in the world. My brothers neighbor has a new Camaro (sixer) and I want so bad to just see if my car can keep up at all with it. I have a feeling that he thinks he can beat anything on the street with it and I have a feeling that it would be kinda close. I feel that I'll lose but not by much. Oh how I want to race him so bad. Someone let me borrow an AP just so I can have a little more of a chance. This problem has been going on for a month. I NEED TO RACE A NEW V6 Camaro.

Jimmy, you could always race in Forza 3. That will be a good indicator of who will win.

I dont think that will. iIt handled way too good for an american built car. But if i do that ii will win win. Ill drive the camaro like crap. ;) I spent hours the other day tuning the 8 for most of the classes so its raceable. I stoped on the A class.

Those new Camaros are fat pigs, the V-6 does actually make decent power now, so IDK, an NA is pretty slow haha

The new Camaro isn't that much more of a pig than the MS6. 3700 pounds compared to our 3600. The V6 does 0-60 in something like 6.5. At sea level.

Tonight I was challenged by a 1.8t vw jetta... ok, so i may have challenged him, but he had a FMIC and an exhaust so i couldn't resist. he took me off the line, but in first gear at 3,000rpm he had 1.5 cars on me, by redline in 3rd i had 2 on him, so we ran again from a 65mph roll on 119 between boulder and longmont, I instantly had him and kept a real good distance between us. It was a good night!

That's what my thinking is. It has more power but is a pig. Like most American made cars. But it does make more power than it's predocessor.

Yeah but what scares me is that the V6 is said to do something like 14.3 on the quarter but the 8 takes it off the line. IIRC

So that's completely opposite of what would happen with my sis in-laws old camaro she had. I would lose off the line start evening out in second and as soon as I hit 3rd I'd start to stroll away. (A stoll is slower than a walk right?)

Again exactly what I think. Power to weight ratio. I beat my brothers caddy from a roll and that things got some power. (300+ HP)

I would love to stomp a new V6 Camaro. Turbo ftw.

And that 3700 lbs is for the SS. The V6 might be a smidge lighter.

I'd give my left arm for an SS...but I'd need something else for the snow.

Meh, give me a C6 over a Camaro SS anyday. And you can get a nice used one for way cheaper than an SS too. STill would need another car for snow though.
