When you pulled up behind me at Tutt and Stetson Hills, I had my window down. Immediately smelled gasoline -- don't know if that's normal for your car or not, but thought I'd let you know.

Thanks for going easy on the family car, but be careful rounding that bend after Anna Lee -- CSPD likes to sit at the bottom of that hill shooting radar/laser.

Yeah, I figured if I told him he smelled like gas, he might read it. I guess I was wrong. [img]http://coloradomazdaclub.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif[/img]

I love the work he's done on the car.

Hey, GR -- are those HIDs, or HID-colored bulbs?

No, not getting gas, just working all day. You guys should try it! LOL!!! She's a bit fat in the cold, the big downside to having carbs is the fact that they don't automatically adjust. You guys are spoiled with the late model cars, no finicky metered fuel leaks feeding your engine. I am expecting about $2500 in parts for me to assemble a fuel injection system capable of feeding my little rotary. The engine builder claimed it flows as much as a 454 chevy above 6000 rpm. Even with the carbs and not really being able to keep my foot out of it, she still gets over 16mpg, which for a ported rotary is actually pretty good. I hope to improve it with efi. Right now it looks like I will be taking my Racing Beat 4 bbl manifold to a machine shop to have it match ported to the intake ports and to have the throttle bores enlarged to 1.5 inches so I can give it a 1000cfm 4bbl throttle body. I'm going to have to fab the fuel rail and it will likely get a haltech ecu. but the details will be planned with my buddy that owns SR-Tuning. He is a freaky genius with fuel injection. Well now I'm babbling so take it easy.

Oddly enough I have Taco Bell for Lunch

OK, then. I understood about half of that, but then, I'm a mech-tard.

I do wonder what your buddy could do for a 2004 6S...but that's beside the point.

C U tomorrow at the gym!

You'll have to tell me how your FI system works out and have pics. I have been thinking about FI for my car as well and I have no idea where to start. I would like to see your car sometime it looks nice.

I haven't seen it with the hood open, but the car itself looks GREAT!

I think the gym is more high mileage maintenance than anything. LOL! Maybe we should get a local gathering going. I know I missed the meet last weekend, but I had a prior commitment and just couldn't get away prior to 4:30. But we can always do something smaller and local. Maybe get together for sunday football somewhere? Just a thought.
When I Get started on the FI I will certainly post pics and bore the crap out of everyone with the tech info too. Stealth, I will ask my buddy what he saw at the Sema show last week, but my guess is get a new programmable ECU and he can do wonders. Chris, I will post a list of the required components and approximate costs when we get a system down on paper. I can't wait! By the way, if you read my first post you'll note the car didn't fair well in storage and will be getting a paint job, it's kind of beat. But at least the paint still shines...LOL. I have a lot of little things to finish up, like the cover and trim panels for the sound system, and I will be re-upholstering the interioir. Thats kind of a by-product of the stereo. None of the material in the car can be matched anymore, so it's do over time.

If you way what I do, you are hiding it well, I am at 165 now, I dropped about 10lbs in the past 6 weeks,
I just increased the intensity and frequency of my workouts. Sad part is, I didn't realized I had that much
spare weight to shed... [img]http://coloradomazdaclub.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img]
