Wow that's pretty bad. I can't really complain though every 120 miles I had to fill up on my old rx7. And that's a 16 gal tank.

Yeah, rotaries and gas mileage are a contradiction. But 10 mpg in a 4 cylinder....uh...no. Since refilling with Soopers gas...no troubles. Hmmmmm.

Mine does better on Soopers gas. Odd. I'll try western sometime, perhaps.

Damn that would have been a fun night, until getting home to the dog crap LOL. Is the car still mad at you? lol And that's weird that it burns gas from some places faster than from other places. Never heard of that before.

Nah, it isn't made. A nice bath made it feel all better again.

As far as the gas, I think perhaps it was a bad batch at the Circle-K.

Oh I've had that before, but I don't remember where I got it and it caused my car to not start at all. My car used to be VERY finicky on gas. If it sat for 2 weeks, you might as well pump out the old fuel and replace it. It doesn't seem to have those problems much anymore though fortunately.

i did a project while i was in automotive school. i came to this conclusion on why you save more on cheaper gas.

cheap gas (king soopers, western, conoco): less additives = higher city mpg, more carbon buildup, less alcohol reading

premuim gas: (chevron, shell): lots of additives = lower city mpg, improved highway mpg, 70% less carbon build up, higher alcohol reading.

i would apply this to every car but every car is different but it also depends on the time of the month. poor mpg could also be due to the amount of alcohol that has been leftover in their containment tanks. alot of alcohol leftover = less mpg. i used a mazda millenia on these tests.

you can try it yourself. all you need is a gravity tester kit and some gasoline

just my $0.02 :)

Whatever extra 1-2mpg I might get from Shell gas does not make up for the extra 20-30 cents a gallon I have to pay for it over King Soopers gas. (Comparison between Briargate/Union King Soopers and Constitution/Powers Shell)
2015 Ironman Silver Veloster Turbo - Bone stock and staying that way
1990 Crystal White Miata - Beater - Bignose 1.6L Swap, Robbins Top w/Glass Window, E-Codes, Air Horns, Brembo Rotors

Former Rides:
2011 Kona Blue Mustang GT 5.0
2009 True Red Mazdaspeed3 GT
2005 Flame Red SRT-4

One of the times was during the summer IIRC, because it was the night I finished with my first single turbo swap and took it to Frank to tune it, and the damn thing wouldn't start. I got the gas from that station right across Circle from Gunnison, just a couple streets more toward Platte. It's over near where you used to turn to go to Street Dreams. I don't remember what the name of the place is though. But I had JUST bought the gas there as I was going to Frank's. And we spent the next few hours trying to get the car to run. And it did quite a number because after checking everything, we finally determined it was bad gas, and even after swapping it, we had to pull the car around the block about twice to pull start it before it finally started.

Coincidentally, that is also the night Morris stopped talking to us for about two months because he was pissed that we were telling him we'd already troubleshot everything he was suggesting was wrong LOL.

In any case, I think it's happened every time of year though, because it's been more than once. But it doesn't really happen anymore, it hasn't in a long time anyway.

^Winter gas? You mean in my tank or in the gas station's tanks? Because it was probably mid summer and I had JUST filled up there before going over to Frank's.

I'll be doing the deployed thing this Friday so I can't make it either HAHA. I really do wanna go though...dammit.
